If you go into the home of a wealthy person, what is one of the first things you see? And the answer is, a library! The wealthier the homeowners, and the larger the home, the more likely it is that they will have a fully stocked library.

如果你走进一个富人的家里,你看到的第一样东西是什么?答案是,一个书房!主人越富有,房子越大,他们的藏书就越多。

If you go into the home of poor people, what is the very first thing you see? That’s right! The biggest television they can afford!
如果你走进一个穷人的家里,你看到的第一样东西是什么?没错!是他们能买得起的最大的电视!

Now, here’s a question for you. Did the owners of large homes become wealthy and then buy the books? Or, did they buy the books and read them, and then become wealthy? I think the answer is clear. People buy the books, study and apply them, become increasingly proficient, and are eventually paid very well.

这里有一个问题要问你。富人是先有钱再买书的,还是先买书、读书,然后才成为富人的?我想答案是显而易见的。人们购买图书、阅读和应用书中的内容,知识也越来越丰富,然后才能获得高薪。

 

In order to stay on top of your job, you should read in your field at least one hour per day. Anything less than one hour per day will put you in danger or being passed by your competitors. The rule is that to earn more, you must learn more.

要想在工作中出类拔萃,你应该每天都读一小时的专业书籍。如果少了那一小时的专业阅读,你很有可能会被你的竞争对手甩在后面。有条法则是:若想挣得更多,你就必须学得更多。

 

If you read just one hour per day, that will amount to about one book per week. One book per week will amount to about 50 books per year. Fifty books
